Fotki resizing issue - ?? - UPDATE 2-10-21

Just an FYI update if this topic applies to you.

I had good communication back and forth with Fotki this week.
I am told that they did make a change to their system.
The GOOD news - You will now be able to upload more types of files than just photos into their storage system.
The BAD news - They told me too, that the "resizer" did change and is not working now.
They are working on a NEW resizer and said hopefully it will be usable in the near future.
They also suggested a FREE resizer to use for now:

I will check it out as time allows.

ALSO, Yahoo mail has made a similar change and now I can't use that to send photos to my computer and home email............
It's always something !!

I have used Fotki for 10 - 12 years or so. Great, 99% of the time no issues at all.

I have tried to post the pics of my wrecker here in the "Trucks" area for a week.
After I upload a photo, I will resize it for the right size to post on the forum.
It says it is updated, but the size requested, goes back to the larger size.
 
I have emailed back & forth with Fotki and the problem is still there.
Hopefully, they are still working on it.

Anyone else having this issue?
Just wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if they made a change.

Like most all things "computer program" related, if you are doing what you have always done and results differ it just means that those jackals changed something! It happens all too frequently. I will finally get proficient with some program and then bang, they "improve" it somehow which in turn makes in awful for most of the users!!

  I use PhotoScape to crop, re-size, etc. etc. before uploading into my Fotki acct.  its FREE and its easy

David, I'm thinking you're most likely correct on them "changing" something.
I don't think I can use my name and proficient on computer related in the same sentence. 

Brian, I can resize the photos on my Windows program, but it's hit or miss until I get them right to send to Fotki.
When I transfer them to my computer from my cell phone, the photos come over pretty large so I always have to "shrink" them.

I use Fotki exclusively but I take my pictures at the 640 x 480 resolution and it never seems to be a problem. Having said that, my photos generally look pretty crummy when compared to most you fella's photos when they're on here. Then again, I am no professional photographer either! Ha!
