Body is still in the body shop, just about ready for paint. Basically, all I used of the kit is the body, windshield, chassis, (which you can see cut out), and the small block. Most everything else is fabbed or out of the junk yard!

Looking good, really like these low-slung tri-five bull ring blasters.  You got that one way low down there.
When I win the Powerball I will switch to the real ones.

How about some information on that chassis.  It doesn't look like the kit chassis.

If you bought it a trucker hauled it.

I mind is a terrible thing to waste....has anybody seen mine??????

It is the stock 55 chassis with a couple of modifications.

Rett,

Great piece of work. I just love all the details you incorporated into the project.  As you know I busted my knuckles on Tri-Five Chevy's for years and still have not outgrown the love for them. Yes I thought that was basically the Chevy frame. An awful lot of race cars have been built out of them.

Well, here it is, calling it done! Yeah, there's some flaws in the paint. That's become a trait of mine I guess. It's been fun building this one tho. We've got a 350, with QC, good tires, so I'm ready to go!!! Hopo ya like it!

Beautiful racecar! Beautiful paint is for street cars!

Maineboy

Rett,

Real nice job. Looks read to race. I like all the nice detail, especially the fender flares. How did you do them?

:)  You still got it, Rett.  I must have seen that one race somewhere sometime.

Just took some thin flat styrene, glued it in the wheel wells, hit it with some body putty, sanded and that was that! Glad you liked it!

Thanks for the comments guys! I enjoyed building this one.
