Military rubber tires
« on: October 27, 2023, 09:39:11 AM »
I’m looking for some 1/25 scale non-directional military type tires in passenger car size. I’m building a ‘40 Ford sedan delivery with a Marmon-Herrington 4 wheel drive conversion. I would really like to have 5 or 6, but 4 would be the minimum.

Not sure where they could be found in aftermarket, but the Hasegawa military jeep has them. In fact there are 6 in the kit, two for the included utility trailer.
When I win the Powerball I will switch to the real ones.

What I’m really looking for is the knobby style Big Donkey used to offer as pony wheels on old dirt track cars. There are several pictures of early Fords with 4WD conversions from Marmon&Herrington that use that exact tire on wide five wheels.
