Dirtman

IMG_4531 by Rett Rundell, on Flickr This is a test for my use of Flickr. Thought I'd build something like I almost built as a young guy. Unfortunately, a wreck ended it. Just a little lowerng, shaving, prettied up flatty frenched headlights and tailights, etc.

That's looking good Dirtman. The mods that some of the folks did on their street cars back then...was very cool. It didn't take much to make your car look killer for the Fri night street drag....down Pine st...from stop light to stop light.

Looking forward to see more of this cool Ford...

:)  Pretty cool, right there, Rett, with the lowered rear end.  Will be  a good one, I am sure.

Well this part is done. I haven't been able to figure out how to post more than one picture per reply! Guess I'll do them one post at a time for now.

Sweet looking shoebox, low and simple.  You can almost hear the "burple" of those duals.
When I win the Powerball I will switch to the real ones.

I had a 51 Crestliner in high school. Flatty w/od, porter steel packs. Loved the burple then, and still do. Got my Harley to pop a little coming down...I may be getting old, but I refuse to grow up!!!

Well, it's finally done. Close to what I would have liked back in the 50's. Lets see, nosed, decked, removed door handles, shortened side chrome, dummy spots, dual exhausts (dummy lake pipes), skirts, Desoto grille, frenched headlights and tailights. Plus the flatty with dual carbs and a bunch of chrome. Might have wanted flames but didn't have any I liked....Hope it brings back a memory or two for some of you.
