east coast Dirt modified
« on: October 05, 2017, 11:51:29 AM »
don't remmber if I had this finished before the other site went down or not , if I did post it there sorry for posting it again . scratch built body on the AMT kit chassis

I finished this just before I got really sick and then I didn't feel like sanding the clear so the paint is a little ruff on the hood and other parts of the body ,I was really feeling bad when i finished the model

Now that looks Good Jim. I really like the Fabbed body you did. The dirt modified's that run out here are pretty similar in body style.

:) Could I steal your post for just a minute ?  Your blue 6 car is just great.  I have tried,  a few times to scratch build bodies, without much success, including a recent one, a red and yellow # 44 current style modified.

I cannot do pictures right now, but if anyone saved that car from Fred's maybe you would post it.  And, just as an idea, would any of you others that have scratch build bodies post them ( and mine ) starting on another topic ?  Might be fun to explore that for a bit.

And I guess I am talking pretty much about the newer slab sided bodies.

Thanks Pat !!  I only seen them run a few times and it was at Rolling Hills , or Rolling wheels  ?/  we used to travel with the World of outlaws back in the late 80's to mid 90's , I always liked those body style of the DIRT  modifieds

NICE!  Those wheels are bad to the bone.  Great color and graphics.  Very well done, Jim.  8) 8)
