1959 Century Boat
« on: November 14, 2017, 11:38:44 AM »
I have been building all kinds of different things lately and just finished this old 1959 Century Speed Boat. Just having fun!

I appreciate people that actually build and post models.

That's cool. I built an airplane, and thinkin of building a sporty car racer! May be an old trans am or two! Thanks for the inspiration!

Your boat sure is beautiful, David!  Sure brings back a flood of memories of boating, camping, fishing, etc. nearly every weekend back in the late 50's to early sixties.  The boats in that time frame (post war to 60's) were as beautifully styles as the cars.  I don't have a picture but dad and uncle Wayne and another friend of theirs took on the task of building a sixteen foot inboard with an 85hp 40 Ford flathead and enough pulling power to pull six skiers at about thirty five mph.  Red deck, white hull, mahogany transom and dashboard, red and white naughehyde seat cushions, etc...lots of fun!!!  Way cool boat...thanks for the memories!!!😎👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🛥

Ahoy, matey!  Beautiful and fast-looking, too!  Must be the flag; gives it a sense of motion.  Very well done, sir!  8) 8)
