Lake City, just west of Jacksonville, kept running modified cars after Jax
switched over to late models. South of Jax St. Augustine also had a dirt track
running modifies. This model is a redux for my own collection. The one I
did earlier is in Jacksonville.
Resin body/tires. Still a few minor details to add but 99% finished...

Great-looking build. Pretty much spot-on. Nice work.

Another great one Hawk!
nice to see a Gulf sponsored car not orange!

yes always wondered about that but blue was a popular color to paint a car.
But here is another Jax standout sponsored by a local Gulf station in
all Gulf colors

Friend in Jacksonville has a close relationship with the Yarbrough family
And the early 60's days at the Jax speedway. Even has LeeRoys personal photo album(s).
Not a model builder but always wanted models of everything Leeroy drove, and lots of other cars that ran at the Jax speedway.
Did around 65 total models that are in Jacksonville now. All these recent posts are some of my favorites that I re-did for my own collection.
The orange 12 is in Jacksonville , but have it on my list to redo for myself.
