started this one a little while ago. chassis/engine etc. is all done, body will be painted over the weekend and hopefully decals applied next week. depends on how the painting goes.
using Tamiya chrome yellow over red primer, when i post the finished product i will do a side by side with my Marlin Monte Carlo that was camel yellow over red primer, just to see what y'all think looks better and more accurate.
chassis, etc. is Tamiya semi-gloss black. did the seat with grey padding and the metallic air ducting in bare metal to break up the black some. best thing is that i didn't have to paint any roll bar padding.
lots of stuff from Jaye - exhaust, shocks, shifter, dash and instrument panel, driveshaft hoop, wheels with separate hubs/lugs. not yet installed but pictured are "down position" window net, fuel filler end, upper and lower grilles, roof antenna. i detailed the spoiler with small nuts with stems and am going to add a fuel overflow tube, which is also pictured.

Wow, your rolling chassis and engine look great. Is Jaye's dash pretty much a direct fit?

Thanks!
Not pretty much, it is an exact fit. The only dash i ever had to trim from him was using one designed for a later gen Monte on my Kasey Kahne Dodge build.
Started on the body today. There will be a slight delay in posting of new pics, the second coat produced some drips that i need to let dry and sand.
Guess my spray finger got a little heavy :o
Sanded and spot primed, hopefully i can blend the paint... i almost re-primered the whole thing and just started over. Never did a "blend" paint job before, will see how this works our.
Repaint seems to be successful. Will post pics of the painted body on the chassis in a few days
The chassis looks great, love the detail parts.
And painting over red, keen to see how this looks as I have some Kodak decals too hopefully use on a Lumina.

Thanks.
Back in the yesteryears, i was always told that Kodak yellow could be reproduced by spraying yellow over red.
I put the hood in place and i'll be damned if it isn't a slightly lighter shade than the rest of the body. If i hadn't already put decals on the hood i woulda shot another coat or two of yellow on it.
Looking good so far!
it's almost finished. when sizing up the Kodak fender decals i realized that they will have to go across the rear window on each side, so i need to get those in before i can finish the decals.

i also started a poll about Kodak yellow in the bench racing section
I really like it, great job!
Awesome Kodak Lumina. Your usual super clean build, Dave.
Thanks y'all. Will be posting in the showroom in a few days, some glue still has to dry.
