hey y'all, i wasn't planning on posting a WiP with this car, mostly out of pure laziness... but there really haven't been too many new posts on the site so i took and uploaded some pics for y'all to peek at...
body is Tamiya pure white and TS-15 blue. chassis and cage is Tamiya insignia white. decals are a combination of Stoneys and Powerslide. aftermarket stuff is the splitter, shifter, fuel filler and hubs from Brandon Miller. threw some wiring for the dash on a whim, using Powerslide carbon fiber decals for the seat, air filter housing and dash. the seat decals are kind of a pain, i do one section at a time and the sides each took about 10 minutes to get to lay right along with lots of decal setting solution and massaging with a wide paintbrush. i also made a gauge panel so they would fit, pretty sure this isn't accurate but i have seen interior shots of Dale Jr. cars and sometimes the gauges sit a little bit above the dash top.
i was pretty happy with how the paint job on the tv panel came out, no real bleed-through with the tape.

Some mighty fine detail work on this one. Show us some more.
Can't wait to see more! Loving it so far.
Thanks fellas. Should be able to get some more done over the weekend.

red decals area little thin as is the "CAROLINA"... the door and roof numbers came with 2 of each so the can be doubled up.
I like it! I'm always a sucker for a red, white and blue paint job 🇺🇸
Body is fully decorated, chassis is glued to the body (keeps it sitting level and lower, first time trying this) and the left side tires/wheels are glued on. Should be able to do the right side tomorrow and then the windows, spoiler and splitter.
Bottom line- see ya in the showroom in a few days.
