DK: It's a beautiful night for racing in the Sunshine State! The FAST Modifieds are on the grid, and we're set to go racing at legendary Five Flags Speedway. Hello again, everyone, I'm Dave Knight and joining me is Wayne "Hick" Strutlin. Welcome to Pensacola, Florida for race 5 of the season, the K&N 150. Hick we had a major shakeup in the points last week after 2 races in one night and your former car owner JR "Razorback" Sealey is atop the charts.
HS: Well, the boss has a 7 point lead over fellow Hog City winner Jerry Lawley but with 3 races to go along with the 5-point Best in Show award before Martinsville, he's gonna have to hold on tight.
DK: Lawley of course with that dominant performance last week. He's got the leader in his sights. And with that, we now go to Johnny Johnson with the command to fire these ground pounders up!
JJ: Five Flags Speedway, are you ready for some racing!? Let's get this show on the road! GENTLEMEN, START YOUR ENGINES!!!!

Green Flag
HS: We're rockin' and rollin' at Five Flags Speedway!
DK: "Rattlesnake" Randy McGillicuddy leads them off into turns 1 and 2. He's got about half a car length over the 2 car of Bob Herrin. They'll maintain those positions as they thunder down the back straightaway for the first time. McGillicuddy holding tight to that inside line into 3. Herrin's gonna lose a bit on the outside. Meanwhile the caution is out on the opening lap. Mcgillicuddy will lead coming to the yellow but it looks like there's an issue with the 5 car. Jerry Lawley in that red and white Ford has smoke billowing from the exhaust.
HS: Man, what a heartbreaker. Had an engine let go this early and now he's gonna have to watch the rest of this race from the trailer.
DK: And we mentioned that he started this race 2nd in the points. Huge implications. Hate to see that for the guy that dominated last week.
Lap 39
HS: Man, ol' Rattlecan Dan has been pickin' and clawin' through this field! He's up to 5th now after starting shotgun on the track. Heck of a rally so far from that 76!
Lap 71
DK: Bob Herrin gets a nose up under the 8 of McGillicuddy! He'll clear him off of turn 4! Bob Herrin to the point at Five Flags!
Lap 102
HS: We've got a spinner up in turn 3! Skip Itt backs that 12 car into the fence!
DK: He'd been a little bit slow for about a lap and a half. As we look at the replay, it looks like the rear just snapped loose. Looks like he may have had a right rear tire down. He's climbing out of that battered Ford. It'll be his 2nd DNF of the season.
Lap 110
DK: And we're back to green and look at the restart that the 8 of McGillicuddy was able to get! The high side hasn't really been the way to go but "Rattlesnake" Randy comes off of turn 2. He's gonna clear the 2 of Herrin!
HS: And Herrin ain't out of the woods yet. He's got a mirror full of the 76 of DiRenzo! Rattlecan Dan's come from the back and now he's gonna challenge for 2nd!
DK: And he's able to nose inside of Herrin in turn 3 by the narrowest of margins! Herrin did a good job of staying to the outside. He started to come down but thought better of it.
White Flag
DK: And we're down to the final lap! Rattlecan Dan just half a car length behind McGillicuddy! Rattlecan Dan stalking "Rattlesnake" Randy in turns 1 and 2. He's almost to the bumper of the 8. Randy McGillicuddy moves up about half a lane and dives deep back down into turn 3! He'll open the gap slightly as Dan sails high trying to get a run. He's back to the bumper off turn 4. Not gonna be enough! Randy McGillicuddy is your winner at Five Flags Speedway!
HS: Man, Randy's gotta be thanking his lucky stars this wasn't a 151 lapper because that 76 was coming!
DK: What a charge by that team. From last place to challenging for the lead at the end.

DK: A heck of a rally by Rattlecan Dan but it's Randy McGillicuddy with a superb performance from the pole. Congrats to that Razorback Motorsports team.
