DK: And it's about to get wild on the dirt tonight in Douglas County, Oregon! Hello again, everyone, I'm Dave Knight and my collegue is Hick Strutlin! We're about to send the dirt flying in the MAC Tools 125!
HS: Dave, we've only been on the dirt once this season but it was an exciting show and I'm looking forward to getting these bad boys fired up and seeing the show!!
DK: And with that, Johnny Johnson has the command. Take it away, JJ!
JJ: Douglas County, are you ready for some racing!? Let's get this show on the road! GENTLEMEN, START YOUR ENGINES!!!!

Green Flag
HS: And we're rockin' and rollin' here in Douglas County!
DK: And Bob Herrin leads the field into the 1st and 2nd turns of this 3/8 of a mile facility. He's a little quicker down the back stretch as Steve Hutson falls in line behind him. Herrin with a smooth ride through turns 3 and 4. No problem coming to the line for the first of 125 times!
Lap 27
HS: Boy, Hutson has been drawing a bead on the 2 of Herrin and reeling him in for the last several laps. He's gonna throw that 7 car to the inside. Herrin's up the track! He's in the wall. Wasn't able to make that high line stick! He's a little slow. No caution yet.
DK: He's going to bring it into the pits as we stay green. Steve Hutson leading the way.
Lap 60
HS: Looks like they've made repairs on that 2 car. He's come back out on the track. That's a team with a lot of grit!
DK: He'll be 33 laps down but every point counts.
Lap 69
DK: And we've got another pass for the lead! Lerry Lawley in the 5 gets a huge run off the outside of turn 4! He cut down low and crossed over the 7 of Hutson with authority!
HS: Speedracer trails now in 3rd hoping te 7 slips again.
Lap 87
DK: And we've got trouble in turn 1! The 7 of Hutson is in the catch fence! He'll come back down and roll it down the banking and come to rest on his side!
HS: Man, that was a wild ride but I can see him down there moving. He's gettin' the belts off as the safety crew arrives. Glad to see him stand up from that mangled machine.
DK: And as we look at the replay, we see that his teammate Speedracer made a move to the inside and slid up to finish the pass but got a little loose. That slowed him up enough to get into Hutson's left front. And just nowhere to go for the 7.
White Flag
DK: Last lap for the 5 of Lawley. He's got a clear race track in front of him after putting Bob Herrin 36 laps down. He'll just manage to surpass Steve Hutson for the 8th spot. Meanwhile Lawley coming out of turn 2 with a 3 car length advantage over Speedracer followed by Skip Itt in 3rd. Good run for that 12 team and the points leader JR Sealey in 4th. His advantage will fall to 4 points as Jerry Lawley takes the checkered flag to win the MAC Tools 125 at Douglas County! He'll assume the 2nd spot in the points with his 2nd victory in the inaugural season for the FAST Modifieds. It is going to come down to the wire for the championship race in 2 weeks at Martinsville!

HS: This is proof positive that it ain't over 'til it's over, Dave. We've also got voting for the Best in Show award worth 5 bonus points! The title for this first season is still way up in the air!

Thanks to Rattlecan Dan for building such a good race car. Even after a bad crash, I'm still in one piece. Sorry for bending up the car. Hopefully we'll have it back together for the next race.
