just kidding. my porch light, which is on an automatic dusk to dawn sensor, was turned off at 10:30am. not gonna do it, just got to ignore my doorbell/knocks here in a little bit.
There are exactly two small kids within a few miles of our house. They live a few pastures away us, making them our next door neighbors. Anyway, my wife made up Halloween gift bags for them. That was it for trick or treater's.
For the first time ever, we did not turn the porch light on for trick or treaters. I had mixed feelings on that, but we had about 24 trick or treaters last year and 6 the year before. It's hard to justify the cost of candy with that low of turnout. The trunk or treating has largely replaced the door to door trick or treating. Times change and the trunk or treating is much safer for the kids
