David Ezell was the driver to beat at the Jax Speedway from the
time the track opened in 1947 until it closed sometime in the 80's.
Usually drove for the track owner . That's him to the right of the
rear window (big waist line !, Pat Patrick) Had a son that was over at our house
on occasion ( had two very attractive sisters). He was tall & skinny
as a rail as I remember.

The arrow 16 after more than a few races.
Model has a kind of the 1st time at the track look. Actual car may have never had
such a "showroom" appearance.

Good looking build. Where did you source those rear hubs?
I think she looks great Hawk!
Question, forgive me if I've asked before, do you ever watch any of the MN Max videos on YouTube? He posts ton of LeeRoy's pictures and several other cars with what appears to be Jacksonville, FL sponsorship from the era. A lot of other Florida and national photos too.

Ron coon resins has a good selection of old school wheels. So does Mikes Decals.
All have good old style dirt tires.

Be forewarned, there are over 1500 videos to wade through. Most are 3 to 5 minutes long.
not to worry; after a few laps that showroom-shine will begin to fade.
handsome bit of ironmongery fore & aft!
