Title: Logan Schuchart #1s Drydene 2019 sprint car
Post by: 18degrees on January 03, 2026, 12:31:32 PM
hey y'all, i finally finished this one up last night.  spent a while building it, ran into some unexpected issues.  if you followed the WiP you know what i'm talking about.

standard Revellogram #71 Saldana sprint car kit with a few body panel mods and adds.  rock screen is from Dirt Modeler, shocks are from Jaye, wheels from SWS and tires from Modelhaus. decals are from PrintIt (evidently sized to SWS body panels). added the wing supports and bottom bar on the nerfs. white is Tamiya pure white, and Tamiya racing blue for the chassis with some dullcoat. i told Steve that the one thing i am not happy about with this is the fact that the left side header doesn't fit inside the nerf bar like it should. just angled down too far, the bottom bar wouldn't attach to anything if it was bent to go around the header. and when i took pics i noticed that the top wing leans down to the right side of the car. and the patch job on the right side body panel decals, to fill a gap, is pretty evident to me at least.  ok, so that's 3 things i'm not happy with in post-production. ::)

As always, we are our own worst critic but I'm looking at an excellent finished model. Very cool!
