Post by: Les Mosher on January 20, 2026, 08:27:17 AM
Hey all, I'm currently building A a SalvinoJR 2022 Chase Elliot Napa car. I was wondering if Tamiya offers a Blue color that is close to NAPA blue, or any recommondations for a blue that's close? Any help is appreciated! TIA!!

Are you looking for a spray or airbrush paint?

Tamiya TS-19 metallic blue is what i used for both my Chase Elliott rookie year build and my Brad Sweet sprint car.

However... the decal placement sheet for the Sweet car called for pearl blue, which is Tamiya TS-89 and isn't metallic.

The metallic blue is available in a jar if you airbrush versus rattle can.

Sorry guys, I forgot to update. I ended up ordering a 2 oz. bottle of paint from ScaleFinishes. They had the exact color for the NAPA cars. Premixed airbrush paint, just fill your airbrush cup and shoot. Came out great!!
