Title: Michael Waltrip's 1989 Country Time Pontiac
Post by: Razorback 46 on April 04, 2026, 10:14:33 PM
So, the whole reason I designed the new decals for Powerslide is because I'd completed the build and had some old decals that hadn't really stood the test of time. I've kept this one under wraps until the official announcement so I've had it waiting for decals since October.

I know this is not much of a WIP but I figured I'd show it off anyway before I 'cal this sucker up.

I sanded the dashboard smooth and designed a more race accurate configuration in Illustrator. I also just used a scrap piece of plastic to make the tach mounted on the steering column. The mirror is a side view from a Ford F150 kit.

What yellow did you use and did you make the roof rails or use a later body?

Krylon sun yellow for the paint. I used Evergreen 1.5mm angle styrene for the roof rails.
