hey y'all, started this right up after i finished the Bowyer car.  not too much aftermarket stuff on this one.  standard Revellogram kit, seat support that Jaye whipped up for me.  using kit wheels and tires since the fronts on this car were solid and there aren't any aftermarket ones that i have came across.  paint is Tamiya TS-15 blue.  had some finish issues on some of the "chrome" pieces that i soaked in the purple stuff... i didn't feel like sanding the affected parts down after primer or paint, just slapped decals over them.  decals are Slixx, they are still going down well (only had one chip/tear on a wing contingency that i was able to fix)... that is until the tail tank numbers are gonna be applied.  have a feeling that they may crack due to all the massaging they are going to require to fit and lay down, they are some large numbers.  i do have wheel covers and a beadlock from Dwight on Shapeways, some shocks from Jaye to replace the ones that look like plastic blobs, along with a resin seat from Mike's that is way more accurate than the kit piece from this era. i think the car represents the 1995 version.  Slixx also did a white version that i built a long time ago that is still on my shelf.

Was a good driver. Nice work on the build.

got some more work in.  have to decal some body panels while they are affixed to the chassis which i don't care very much to do, but they gotta line up. it's pretty close to being done, all that's left is some decals, attach the wheels and wings, and cut and attach the wing supports.

i also came to the realization that until my huge order comes in from Jaye, i have very few options for builds.  looks like it's gonna be sprint cars (all the ones left have PitA paint jobs or decals) or a Ward Burton CAT Intrepid.  so i started on the 1s Drydene build (just the wheels and tires).
