hey y'all, random question here... i got into an ASA thunderbird kit last night just to look things over for my next project.  i know these are pretty rare kits (and can be pricey too) these days, but did anyone ever try and use them in a NASCAR kit to represent the V6 that was run back in the 80's? i know there was a resin V6 that was produced somewhere along the line, was just curious if the ASA engines would fit in the NASCAR chassis without too much modification.

Don't know if this is much help, but I put the ASA Camaro V6 in an AMT Gran Prix to build a Busch Grand National car. Looked good and don't remember any difficulty. The engine looks too small in a Monogram 1/24 kit. Of the others I built using a Monogram starting point, I cut down the kit V8.

Yeah. That helps. I wasn't planning on wasting an ASA kit engine to be "that" authentic.
