DK: Racing is a dirty business and nowhere is that more evident than on the clay ovals across the country that are the backbone of the sport. And when the victor crosses the finish line, the dirt on which they tread is as good as gold. Hello, everyone, and welcome to the Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina for the Bank of America 100. I'm Dave Knight and joining me as always, NASCAR Hall of Famer Darrell Waltrip.

DW: Dave, it's our first time on the dirt this season, I'm ready to get some mud on the tires and get this show on the road.

DK: And we now go trackside for the openiong ceremonies.

Ladies and gentlemen, please rise and remove your hats as the the United States Air Force's Singing Sergents perform our national anthem.

Race fans, it's time for the most famous words in motorsports. Please welcome our grand marsals, the stars of the YouTube channel Good Mythical Morning, North Carolina's own Rhett and Link!

R&L: Drivers, start your engines!

Green Flag

DW: Boogity boogity boogity! Let's go dirt racin', boys and girls!

DK: Keith Wallace drops the hammer in the first turn and Sheldon Hatterfield falls in line immediately. He's got about a car length advantage down the back stretch as they sail into turns 3 and 4.

DW: Meanwhile, Amy Hilton, last week's winner, gets a heck of a run off 2 and picks up a spot right off the bat.

DK: She's up to 5th as the leaders exit turn 4. Sheldon Hatterfield with a slight advantage across the line.

Lap 22

DW: Man, ol' "Rattlesnake" Randy's got himself a hot rod! He's up to 5th as Hilton picks off Steve Hutson for 3rd.

DK: And Ace Jones now has a that silver GM Chevrolet taking up most of his mirror. He'll hold him off but for how long as they come off of turn 2?

Lap 57

DK: And there's trouble in turn 3. The leaders Hatterfield and Keith Wallace make contact. Both cars are around.

DK: the 17 of Hatterfield had the inside and that rear end stepped out a little further than he wanted and he skeated up the track into Keith Wallace. Doesn't look like a lot of damage.

DK: And they spun but are rolling once again catching up with the rear of the field as the pace car picks up Amy Hilton.

Lap 77

DW: And the 7 of Randy McGillicuddy has caught Kim Johnson and made a huge move to the inside out of 4.

DK: And he's clear of her Pennzoil Chevy and has the Buick of Hilton in his sights.

White Flag

DK: And it's one lap to go! McGillicuddy has reeled in Amy Hilton. Razorback Motorsports teammates side by side ain turns 1 and 2. They'll draw dead even down the back stretch. Randy McGillicuddy on the inside thunders into turn 3 for the final time with a slight advantage. Hilton drifts high, the 7 is clear, Hilton comes off of 4. She'll try the inside but can't hold on. Randy McGillicuddy wins the Bank of America 100 at Charlotte!

DW: And he only lead the lap that pays. Good fight by his teammate but she couldn't keep him back there.

DK: And with that, we conclude today's event. For Darrell Waltrip, I'm Dave Knight. Thank you for joining us and we'll see you on the dirt again next week at Attica Raceway Park for the Caterpillar 125!
