Clint Bowyer #14 throwback - 2017 Carolina Ford Dealers

hey y'all, as promised in the WiP for this, here it is.

2017 Ford Fusion #14 Clint Bowyer throwback to the Bill Davis Racing #1 Carolina Ford Dealers BGN Thunderbird, driven by Mark Martin and Jeff Gordon.  This was always one of my favorite schemes over the years.

Revellogram kit, Tamiya pure white and TS-15 blue for the body, Insignia white for the cage, chassis pan, interior, etc.  Decals are a mix of Powerslide and Stoneys and a little bit of kit decals thrown in too.  mods were Powerslide carbon fiber decals for the seat, air cleaner housing, and dash; a little bit of dash wiring thrown in just for kicks; hubs, splitter, fuel filler and shifter from Brandon Miller.

on a one-off scheme like this i try and get the little details accurate - ride height dots, NACA ducts and window straps, tear-off tabs, etc.

The other wheel decal is the Stewart-Haas team decal, if you zoom in you can see the logo with all the team car numbers.
