Hi all.
I haven't posted much this year due to all my paint and putty fails just slowing down my modelling. So I'll lump them all here. It's quite a few.

On left a violet TS paint that I ruined by wetsanding, only the roof. For whatever reasons I just couldn't remove the scratches even with more paint. A whole TS can was used. So just sanded clean.
Next in gray, a failed auto rattlecan then a failed TS can. Now primered for a third attempt.

Then to my body reworks. Each a failed paint job due to all the bodywork being visible. The TBird with two paint jobs already, the Lumina just one. And every paint strip means more putty rework.

And the Pontiac, not been painted, but I did step on the hood,(!) deforming it. So it's been glued in and panel lines puttied over. Am working on a template to scribe the cowl panel line.

On the upside, I do have this successful Earnhardt build! Here I'm setting the wheels. A glass fridge shelf, so I can carry it all off my work bench.

So, that's been my year. Quite disappointing, but fingers crossed, I should have a glut of them to post next year.

Been there, not fun.  Think of them as learning experiences.  I try to take notes on compatibility of paints, fillers, glues, etc. so I don't make the same mistakes again. Keep building, you'll turn the corner soon, I know!
