Here is one wheel with the landing ribs in place on the outer part of the wheel and the lower inner part of the wheel. Trying to put 72 spokes on each wheel if I can squeeze them all in. It's going to be interesting.

.....Using advanced A.I technology I came up with these ;D   I mean anythings possible at this time..right????

And my personal favorite....

Off-road is my second guess

Thanks, drppr76 but not either one of those. Not sure spoke wheels would work on either one of those applications.
I completely overlooked the spokes. My bad. Is this going to ve a Model T or stagecoach?

I do love a plate of good ribs!

Yea..I'm a chow hound when it comes to B-B-Q    I was kind of surprised at first to see a mention of 2 local rib joints that A.I pulled up.... Hog Wild and The Landing....then it's like DUUHHH it's A.I chuckle head and your at your home computer in Topeka, Kansas  Hog Wild Pit Barbecue is my go to here locally.

OK - the hub looks too big to be a stage coach wheels but I'm still guessing a Model T or car similar to that era

MarkJ

Some more wheel progress pics. got 24 spokes installed out of 72.

Mark, your work never ceases to amaze me! I'm now going with an older Indy or maybe an F1 car?

I'm going with one last guess that it's going to be a car that raced at Lemans in the 50s or early 60s since Volzfan 59 guessed an Indy or F1 car which is a good guess IMHO and it was close - hopefully I'm closer this time

MarkJ

Thanks Donato and 76. 76 you are now officially close with your guess except for the lemans part.

Got the spokes finished on the first wheel. just need to add a ridge around the outside of the wheel and make a knockoff nut and install it and the first wheel will be finished except for a major cleanup job and painting it with Revell chrome.

I have no words Mark. That's a great looking spoked wheel. I'm sure I'm overthinking this, if you don't mind my asking, how in the world will you paint it? Will part of it pop out to give you access to the back of the spokes?

Steve, I'm using rattle can paint so I'm hoping it just covers anything you can see looking at the wheel from the outer side of the wheel. The back of the wheel does not need to be removed, and I really can't do that anyway. A brake drum of sorts glues on top of the back side of the wheel so you can't see the spokes from the back side anyway. you will eventually see what I'm talking about when I get there. Thank you for your question.
