Added putty to the voids in the wheel and started working on the knock off hub.

MarkJ

Finished the wheel and started on the tire.

MarkJ

Started adding the tread to the tire.

MarkJ

Got the tread finished on the tire. Added some Mr. white putty to smooth the transition from the sides of the tire to the tread. After that I can make the center rib flush with the tread and then prime the tire and wheel with white primer. Then I can start on the Left front wheel and then that tire. Sure is a very slow process. Hoping once all the tires are completed and painted, I can start on the actual body of the car. Or maybe I will call it a day and build a car from a kit.

Mark, I know that I've mentioned this before concerning this build, but I sit here in amazement. It's crazy to me that you are building a model of a race car, where no kit even exists! You're not modifying a kit, you're building from plastic and putty! I guess this is modeling in its truest form.

Your tread looks great, but I keep going back to the wheels and the spokes. It's just nuts to me. Not gonna lie, I'm really anticipating watching you form the body and the interior. Guessing this is going to be a sort of curbside build? If you tell us that you're fabricating and engine and transmission I don't know what I'll do! Seriously buddy, I anticipate each update just to be more amazed.

Thank you so much Steve for your words of encouragement. It will definitely be a curbside build with nothing under the body skin showing. I will do a dash and seat but no driver. Anything you can see like the exhaust I will do but anything else like radiator, engine, or axles won't be done. Thanks again for the kind words.

Man, you must really love this hobby. More skill and patience than I can imagine. Keep on keeping on.
