:)  I have 6 or 7 models that I would like to post here, if I just knew how.

My wife Anne is trying to help me get going on Flickr,  but we are having trouble with the sizing.  And she is pretty good with computers.  Tom says he uses  640x360, but we keep getting 640x480, which is too large for the whole screen.

If anyone can help us with this we would appreciate it.

Thanks, John Gorday

I size all of mine to 640X480 or sometimes slightly smaller before posting.

I post pictures at 640 X 480 because of that size being a common size among the different web sites that I post pictures at....some sites state do not exceed 640 X 480 while others don't.  The difference between 640 X 480 Pixels and 640 X 360 Pixels is quite small and to be honest with you , I cant tell the difference between the same picture at those two different sizes.
I do use a program to edit my pictures before uploading them to my Fotki acct.  I use PhotoScape to crop, sharpen, auto adjust level and size.  There is a setting in resizing to reduce the longer length to 640 Pixels.  If the smaller length is over 480 Pixels, I then manually take the smaller length down to 480 Pixels which automatically adjust the 640 Pixels lower to keep the size ratio correct....so I could, in theory, have a picture that comes out measuring 580 Pixels X 480 Pixels or a smaller than 640 X 480 picture.
Some, but not all, 3rd party photo hosting sites have the availability to share to forums pictures that are automatically sized to 640 X 480.  I'm not that familiar with Flickr, but it would appear that Flickr is wanting to share/post your pics in a pre set 640 X 480 size, which is great, nothing wrong with that, but trying to change that size could/would pose an issue.
So, if your set on 640 Pixels X 360 Pixels, then I would suggest PhotoScape ... its a free download and I have nothing but praise for that program.

Everyone. There was a typo in my sticky on posting from Flickr, that's why John was looking for that size. My bad. I've corrected it.
