John Anderson was a hell of a short track racer who left us too soon. This was his ride in the legendary car owner Stan Yee's Camaro from 1975. A who's who of drivers ran for Yee over the years and Anderson was probably his most successful in the win column. Midwest 300, Glass City 200, Northern 200, Graduation 300, at Salem, Toledo, Cayuga and Hartford to name a few big wins this duo accomplished in the day. Good ole Rod took care of the decals and sadly this bad boy is headed north to sit on my buddies shelf! He asked me to build this one of his hero. Thanks for looking!

Really well done ARCA! Dart chassis under this one? When you get a chance one day, shoot me a PM of one of your interiors. It's always a treat to see one of your posted gems!
I appreciate people that actually build and post models.

David - Used up one of my last super stocker chassis :(  I'll snap some photos and send them of the next one.

Yep, sad to say that was the end of his career! Harry Hyde blamed him for the wreck and he never was offered another good ride. They was a bunch of them flipping out of the races at Daytona with those new cars in 81. Too bad Andy was one of them!

Super replica Jim! That car looks like it could do asphalt or dirt. Two questions, is that the 70 Z28 minus the rs nose piece, and what wheels did you use?
Thanks for posting!  Tom

Tom  Thanks and Yes, I used the 1970 AMT kit - It's great for these builds. I do though have run out of the full front bumpers. Guy on Ebay has them but hate to pay 17 buck per!  The wheels are sadly my last set from Bennett who had some great resin stuff. I believe he passed away.

WOW WOW Fantastic Build this is one of the best I have seen from this era,  and your right John Anderson was one of the best. I saw him race a lot, running big events with Trickle, Shear, Reffner, and others there were so many Great Drivers stuck on Short Tracks all over the country no one seemed to have rides making more money than a lot of thee guys where making on Short Tracks.

What a great looking model! You really did nail this one. 11.

This is a very spot on Replica build ARCA.... It sure looks like the 1/1 for sure.
