This Camaro has an interesting past ...it has both a stock rear frame section and a late model type rear frame section tied together.....either an old modified street stock or hobby stock...its anyone's bet.

The late model type rear frame section ties into the stock Camaro front frame section.

Thanks.  Always fun to see things like this.  So you just walked around snapping pictures and nobody minded ?

Here's the website......  http://www.jetracinginc.com/

Naa... went in and visited with him and shot the pictures before I left ...guess they figured I was in the market for a gently used modified chassis or '70's Camaro  ;D

Some days I get a lot of windshield time...always on the look out for an old, abandoned stock car parked in a field somewhere.  I had originally shot those pictures for my own reference purposes , but then realized that others might benefit from them as well.....so why not share the knowledge ;)

Spotted this Studebaker in Stewartsville, Mo.  The chassis is an old I.M.C.A type dirt modified.

This is a Studebaker Hawk about 1961 it is a different body to use as a short track car I wonder what kind motor and drive line was used also was it a homemade chassis or what, if I am not mistaken the Packards were full frames but very narrow. This could be a neat project, there is a resin body for it and frames can be made if it was a homemade chassis. Wish there was more info on it...

I don't want to build it, but I do think it is a cool racer.  I wonder how long ago it raced.  The grass seems to have been cut, but it could have been moved there.

Thanks for posting it, Brian.

The motor and tranny have been pulled, but the Chevy motor mounts are still in place....no indication of it running a Powerglide so I'm guessing a Muncie.  The chassis is professionally built, but I couldn't I.D it.....looks like pretty much every other I.M.C.A type dirt modified chassis produced in the last 15-20 years with the front 2/3rds of a Chevelle frame .
I have some pictures of a bare chassis (Dirt Works) that very closely resembles what's under the Stude if your indeed interested in building one.

I'd venture to say that it has been raced in the last year or two...there's still air in at least 3 of the tires.

.....So I  Visited Johnny "The Jet" Saathoff at his shop in Beatrice, Neb. again and again he  had a few "pre owned, low mileage" cars on the lot.....

These are I.M.C.A stock car chassis...most noticeable is the use of weigh jacks .
