Here is my completed rendering of the old Rat Trap Vega kit. Much of the build can be found down in the "Fab Shop" Section.

It's amazing how much better this one looks not that you had your hands on it! Love the paint scheme!

"Ain't enough O's in smooooth" to qualify this one.  The body changes are subtle enough to not change the overall look of the Vega, but enough to make it more aggressive looking.  Great job.

Rick, you actually hit the nail on the head as far as this bodywork. I moved the rear wheels forward and it got out of proportion. I then cut the tail off to correct that. Raking the top made it pinchy looking so I flattened and lengthened the sides to correct that. And so it goes; when you start whacking on these "known" bodies trying to keep the proportions right is always the most fun part for me!! I've messed up a few but this one came out balanced. Thanks for looking!

David, Just simply outstanding work as always. Are those the tires and wheels that come in the kit, or something else?

The rims are resin from Larry at Big Donkey while the tires are Plastic Performance Products (from Southern Motorsports Hobbies) and they are the 60's-70's Asphalt Modified set that I lightly sanded down.

That think is slick! I love the low profile appearance. Looks like it's moving just sitting there. Great work!
