1963 USAC IMPALA
« on: October 11, 2017, 03:39:03 PM »
Fictional USAC car with another one of my fictional "stories".
The Clements sold this ex Rex White car to "Red" Morgan when Chevrolet pulled the factory backing. Rex and team switched to Mercury after one race. I haven't completed the engine yet, it will be a 409. The "mystery motor" wasn't part of the sale! Hope ya like it!

Thanks David. The sides are Tamiya Metallic orange, and the red top was painted over a gorgeous Tamiya pure white.
I should have used white artwork, but I was hell-bent to use my decals. Oh well!

Thanks for the comments and for looking, fellas. The truth is, I'm not particularly fond of how this turned out.

What the Hey Slimster...you not FOND of how it turned out...Man bubba...it really looks good on screen. The color combo is GREAT. Good back story too. Keep up the story lines on these builds my friend...you're good with that. It makes it interesting.

Looks great ,Tom. I too like the fictional story. I have always wanted to do a 64 Rex White Chevy with the fictional story being that Chevy stayed in with the 427 through 63 and into 64 and beyond and he ended his career driving the 64 Chevy instead of switching to Mercury.
