Come on guys stick with it. Where did all the old geezers go. Is it free cheese Friday or something. We know John is distracted while he's sparkin' a new gal, but what about the rest of you? My wife sent me to heckle you guys, because she's tired of being heckled about engine color, and cubic inches too.

I'm here kinda, I'm actually on the road in Florida trying to escape winter blahs. Did score a Mongoose model at hobby lobby with a 40% coupon. The 69 Falcon rebuild is at home waiting for paint as the 55 chevy frame is ready.

James 2 did you mean me and my falcon? It will be black and white and run a big block. My inspiration comes from a 63 falcon built by Herold Smith for Paul Radford to drive at Martinsville, Trenton and Bowman Grey.

I have been kind of toying with the idea of building an early Falcon that ran at our little bullring. It was a '62 or '63 2door sedan with a 302 smallblock in it. The guy that drove it said he loved the combination because he could pretty much drive her pedal down most of the time. He said he used wrecking yard engine when he started out, and Fords instead of Chevies, because they were more plentiful. All he usually changed on those early engines was the timing chain, and the oil pump, he said. He actually won quite a few races with those early cars.

I'm still here, Been building some since Oct. last year.  never have had any good weather to take photos.  And when it decided to clear up my lap top croaked and just now getting it straightened out.  If it's not nasty when I get home planning on posting photos

I am back to the bench.  Thinking about doing another short track shoe-string-budget-beater-box like my '72 Chevelle only it will be a '64 Dodge 330.  Thinking all black (flat or satin) with black rims as well.  Still just a twinkle in my eye.  ;)

Here's a first.....for me anyway....
logged into Randy Ayer's sight just a couple of minutes ago, and in roughly a 24 hour span there was NOT ONE post in the following sections....

NASCAR Modeling Discussion
The Showroom
Grayside Racers Corner 1973-1989
Darkside Racers Corner 1948-1972

and 1 (ONE) post in the Fab shop section......

not too many other posts in the other catagories either...

This is the first time since I joined Randy's sight back around 2006 that there was NOTHING posted in the top listed catagories at the same time......!!!

So, it is just not this board that's quiet....... :o

I think maybe everyone is trying to cure cabin fever. I've been to the track a couple of nights.

Is Randy's quiet because everyone moved over to farcebook?
